She is an active consultant at St. Luke’s Medical Center and has held leadership roles such as Director of the Asian Society for Psoriasis and President of the Philippine Dermatological Society. Her contributions include significant research in psoriasis, editorial roles, and international lectures.

Update on cardiovascular risk in patients with psoriasis

Lone Skov is a Professor and Senior Physician in the Department of Dermatology and Allergy, Herlev and Gentofte Hospital, University of Copenhagen. Her current clinical and research activities focus on inflammatory skin diseases, especially psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Professor Skov has been involved in developing and implementing unique Danish registers and has played a vital role in the steering group that initiated one of the first registers for using biological treatments in clinical practice, DERMBIO. She is mainly doing translational research; her research has focused on psoriasis’s epidemiology, immunology, and clinical aspects, including projects investigating co-morbidity in psoriasis. She is a member of several national and international scientific societies, including the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) and the Skin Inflammation & Psoriasis International Network (SPIN). She is the past president of the Danish Society of Dermato-Venerology. Internationally, she is a Board Member of the International Psoriasis Council (IPC).
